Embracing the Holiday Spirit: Our Experience at the 2024 Christmas on Mercer Festival
As the holiday season rolled in, we at NestHaven Properties were ready to embrace everything that makes this time of year so special—community, tradition, and a little bit of sparkle. Christmas on Mercer 2024, held on December 7, brought all of that and more to the heart of Dripping Springs, and we were thrilled to be part of the magic.
A Festive Transformation on Mercer Street
From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mercer Street transformed into a winter wonderland, filled with the sounds of classic holiday tunes, the scent of warm cocoa, and over 150 vendor booths showcasing everything from handmade gifts to seasonal treats. The festive energy was infectious, and it was clear why this annual tradition has become such a beloved event.
A Day for Families and Fun
The festival was a dream come true for families. Children lit up with excitement as they enjoyed pony rides, a petting zoo, and a trackless train that wound through the crowds. Santa and Mrs. Claus made their joyful return, offering photo opportunities that had both kids and parents smiling ear to ear.

We were proud to open our doors on festival day and welcome attendees into our office for a day of ornament-making fun! With festive snacks, creativity flowing, and families gathered around our crafting tables, it was truly heartwarming to see our space filled with laughter, conversation, and a little glitter. It was our way of giving back to the community we love—a cozy spot for creativity, connection, and celebration.
A Tradition That Grows Stronger Each Year
Organized by the Dripping Springs Lions Club and the City of Dripping Springs, the festival celebrated its 20th anniversary this year—a testament to the town’s enduring holiday spirit. The annual tree lighting ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park the evening before set a beautiful tone for the weekend, casting a warm glow over the entire community.
